Gold Coast waterways ranked some of the cleanest
The latest Ecosystem Health Report Card released by Healthy Waterways last week has found Gold Coast's waterways are some of the healthiest in south-east Queensland, which could be great news for sustainable residents of Broadbeach real estate.
Between July 2013 and June 2014, 11 of the 14 monitored freshwater, estuary and marine areas in the Gold Coast have seen an improvement in the quality of the water. This is great news for the diverse species of wildlife living in the region, as well as allowing for the ecosystem to continue existing without any major issues.
Mayor Tom Tate said these figures were a great endorsement of the region ins general, especially with the region's overarching investment in the natural environment.
"We're the nation's tourism capital, so it's only right that we should focus our efforts on taking care of our natural assets," said Mayor Tate in a 22 October statement.
These figures are a fantastic result for the local area, which embraces sustainability and cleaner, greener living. Now could be a great time to consider purchasing your own Broadbeach real estate and take advantage of the wonderful environment in the future.
