Gold Coast looks forward to spring events calendar

It's not just the Gold Coast's excellent scenery and outdoor lifestyle that makes it an attractive place to live, as there's also a busy schedule of events throughout the year.

Details of the 2014 spring sporting and cultural events calendar have been announced, and there's sure to be something for you to get involved in if you live in apartments for rent in the Gold Coast.

For example, you might want to head down to Opera in the Park at Broadbeach, or perhaps indulge in a spot of culture at Evandale's Bonjour French Festival.

Alternatively, Varsity Lakes will be hosting the Gold Coast Pet and Animal Expo, and the Rugby Sevens can be seen in Robina this spring.

"The best thing about the spring calendar is that there's truly something on offer for all tastes, all abilities and all ages," said Gold Coast mayor Tom Tate.

"By supporting a local event, you're helping to support the local economy. You're also bolstering the Gold Coast's reputation as an events capital."

Festivities are being held all over the area for the next three months and are expected not only to attract not only people living throughout the Gold Coast, but also visitors from further afield.
