Gold Coast offers free cycling workshops

Cycling has really come back in vogue over the last decade or so. With climate change on the horizon and all of us needing to be a little more careful with our carbon footprints – not to mention, trying to keep fit and healthy for the long-term – it's not surprising that more and more people have taken up cycling.

And if you own residential property on the Gold Coast to boot, then cycling is a no-brainer – what could be better than riding shoreside as the sun glints in the distance and the salty air whips your hair back? It certainly beats the typical morning commute!

If you're one of those people who hasn't yet joined the growing cycling numbers on the Gold Coast, but have been meaning to, the absolute beginner cycle workshop will be for you. Totally free to the general public, the workshop will teach bicycle novices all the basics of riding a two-wheeler.

The event was just held on 18 September, but will return on Saturday 8 November at Robina from 3-5 p.m. – a more convenient time, perhaps, for those with weekday work commitments. It will also be held next year.

It's only one of the many free cycling workshops that Gold Coast residents will want to take note of. Come down and see for yourself what the fuss is about.
