Gold Coast real estate values grow

The Queensland property market is as active as ever, with the latest sales results proving welcome reading to anyone who has invested in real estate in Broadbeach Waters.

Figures from the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) show sales volumes have reached a decade high, as some markets have defied expectations.

Among them is the Gold Coast, where CEO of the REIQ Antonia Mercorella reveals there has been strong growth in the median value of properties.

"The market fundamentals in south-east Queensland are very strong – we're seeing quicker selling times, reduced vendor discounting and a higher percentage of profit-making sales," Ms Mercorella noted.

Some other regions are also reaping the benefits of strength in this area, suggesting now could be as good a time as any to think about buying property in Queensland.

There are high hopes this trend will continue well in 2015, perhaps enticing more people into the market.
